We had already seen much of old Darwin so on this visit we wanted to see how the city has grown since 1987. For a relatively small city the development is quite amazing - extensive roadworks with flyovers, luxury areas, very large shopping complexes and many tourists.
Since we are leaving to-morrow we decided to have a rest day to-day, just a little shopping then back to the van for a swim.
It was good to catch up with Michelle, Karl, Abbey, Ben and Georgie on Skype to-night and with Andrew on the phone yesterday.
We will probably spend our next night at a free-camp west of Katherine and then on to Kununurra Wednesday.
