The landscape from Mt Isa to Cloncurry was very green and picturesque but between Cloncurry and Winton it was as in the photo - flat, treeless and most uninteresting for much of the trip. Winton has the Matilda Centre including the Qantilda exhibition.
We have visited this area previously - we will soon be on the Matilda Way which sees each town marketing something unique eg Qantas, Woolsheds, Hot Springs.
We are here in Winton for one or two nights.
