We left Newman and set off for Tom Price. There was hardly another car on the road and the road is excellent. We had morning tea near Mt Robinson - the mountains here are not very high and they have pastel colours similar to those found in the Flinders Ranges. The pastel colours of 'The Outback' are really beautiful, especially near dawn and dusk. On the road again and we were stopped at a level-crossing by one of those incredibly long iron ore trains. It was then just a short drive to the Tom Price Tourist Village - we will be here for 2 or 3 nights. Lyn's brother Lance and his wife Dell are somewhere in Karijini so we might meet up in the next day or so.
