To-day we visited Alice Springs Desert Park. We had an indigenous girl as our guide and she spoke about 'bush tucker' as she led us through the park, pointing out the different kinds of trees and vegetation.
Next we went to their amphitheatre for the 'birds of prey' which arrived on cue - included owls, falcon, black kite and whistling kites.
Then on to the nocturnal section - the display is very interesting and beautifully presented.
A quiet afternoon as we prepare to leave tomorrow - we will probably free camp at the Devils Marbles.
A check using Whereis indicates that you are merely 2909.1km from home. Whereis suggests that this may take 31h 10m (approx)... may be a tad longer due to traffic lights out of phase in Nuriootpa. I need a bridge partner this Friday.
