We drove from the Robe River Rest Area past Fortescue River and the mine, various gas plants, Mairee Pool and then to Karratha. We were assured that there was no need to book at the Big 4 so the inevitable happened - sorry no vacancies! We are now in the Balmoral Holiday Park for 3 nights and it is very good - large sites and excellent amenities.
We went to the visitors' centre for information on tomorrow's adventure, went shopping then back to the van for a rest.
