Morning tea at a truck parking area followed by lunch at Roebuck Roadhouse and then at last we find ourselves at the Palm Grove Caravan Park at Broome. It is a very good park close to Cable Beach and we will stay here for 4 nights. There are no vacancies here so we are glad we booked.
We visited Broome in 2008 and in these two years the place seems to have grown and become even busier.
The main street to-day was almost wall to wall 4WD's.
At this time of the year it is almost impossible to get a van site anywhere in the 6 or so van parks unless you book beforehand.

ReplyDeleteGlad to follow your journey. Loved the camels etc and Cape Levique. Too windy for us to swim the day we flew there.
ReplyDeleteDo you want to join in at CG a roast dinner and hot dessert for $20 pp on 1st Aug after our day walking thru the Gorge? I am ringing there today for more info as Dennis rang me after he had checked on Probus trip bookings for the whole trip.
Hope this finds you both well and enjoying the lovely weather there.
You are now in territory we have yet to travel. Enjoy.
All OK back here. Phil we got a set of 4 tyres for the Patrol last week and 3 for the van due on before we go. Yippee!
Hace bad head cold but lucky to have nearly 4 weeks before the trip to get over it.
