Our first stop was the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community - here we saw their church with its beautiful pearl shell altar.
It was then off to One Arm Point and the hatchery - this time Lyn tried her hand at feeding a huge Barramundi. Tanks contained Green Turtles, Barramundi, Sea Anemones, Clown Fish and Trochus Shells. The tide was really ripping in at One Arm Point - this is not far from Derby where there is a 12m difference between low and high tides.
Lunch was a very tasty lobster/prawn salad at Cape Leveque. We decided that, having travelled this far, we had to have a swim - we were assured that 'Salties' are rarely seen here - we stayed close to the beach in beautiful, crystal clear water.
On our way home we visited the Lombadina Aboriginal Community and its beautiful grounds.
It was a long day, the road was quite rough in sections and we were happy that we did not drive our own car.
We arrived home around 7pm.
