Friday began with a crisp sunrise at Peterborough. We drove through Port Augusta onto the Stuart Highway and began the journey north. The land is semi-covered in a green carpet from all the rain and we see the occasional salt lake. We spent the night at a free camp with nine other caravans and were very comfortable even though we had no power (so we could not up-date the blog).
Saturday we drove through rain to Coober Pedy (we have explored this previously) and then to our overnight at Marla.
To-night it is pouring - the Oodnadatta track is closed - some people are unable to leave Oodnadatta.
Hi Phil/Lyn
ReplyDeleteMissing bridge??
Surprised about the rain... thought that had finished.
I hope there are no problems up the main drag to Alice... wouldn't expect any but then one never knows.
Have fun

Hi Roger & Glenda
ReplyDeleteMissing Bridge?? Yes and no! but we certainly enjoy the social aspect - even you rogues!
The weather in Alice is a little uncertain - we hope the predicted rains do not eventuate.
All the best, thanks for your message
