We were picked up at 5am this morning for our hot air ballooning over Alice and what a wonderful experience it was - a perfect morning with cloudless sky. We were amazed at the pilot's skill in planning the flight (1 hour) and then steering the balloon (using the differing currents at various altitudes) to land exactly where he had planned.
We visited the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Old Telegraph Office (beautifully restored), the spring which gave Alice its name and then we walked around the CBD.
I think that that is such a great thing to do and am so pleased that I planted the seed. I must say though that im sure the view from where you were is so much better than sydney. Am proud of you mum even if you deny ever being nervous!!
