Another full day - drove to Hermannsburg for a look at the Mission (begun in 1877), morning tea of scones and cream and apple strudel. It was here that the famous aboriginal artist Albert Namatjira lived, worked and taught.
It was interesting to see the surrounding aboriginal communities and to hear a little more of their culture.
We then continued to the magnificent Palm Valley for a long walk and lunch on top of the gorge.
The valley is part of the Finke Gorge National Park and the road in is for 4WD vehicles - across the river a number of times.
On our way back home we went to Anzac Hill for a view of the town.
Hi Phil and Lyn.
